SF OPen Studios Exhibition 

ArtSpan's expansive SF Open Studios (SFOS) Exhibition presents over 300 works of diverse mediums created by artists shaping today's contemporary SF Bay Area art scene by. The annual exhibition is free and open to the public. Exhibition visitors can preview a snapshot of participating SFOS artists who will have their creative spaces open in the following weeks; allowing visitors to plan their studio visits.

ARTLAUNCH: THE SFOS OPENING CELEBRATION
September 19, 6-9PM

Celebrate the abundant creativity of the SF Bay Area & kick-off our SF Open Studios season with the ArtSpan community within the SFOS Exhibition. The Exhibition features the work of participating SFOS artists and provides a preview to help guide your studio visits.

 

Art Tasting & AMPLIFY AWARDS Ceremony
October 2, 6-8PM

Prominent Bay Area arts & culture luminaries each award ArtSpan’s AMPLIFY: Juror's Choice Awards to one exhibited artwork. Through these recognitions, jurors amplify the reach of artists distinguished for the visual impact of their submitted work. Jurors and artists speak about the work during Art Tasting, a collector event.

 


The SF Open Studios Exhibition is supported by the SOMArts Cultural Center’s Affordable Space Program, which provides subsidized, large-scale affordable space and technical assistance to nonprofits. SOMArts receives support from the San Francisco Arts Commission’s Community Arts and Education Program with funding from Grants for the Arts/The Hotel Tax Fund. The mission of SOMArts is to promote and nurture art on the community level and foster an appreciation of and respect for all cultures.
