ArtSpan Artist Mixer - Crochet Jam!

Join ArtSpan to meet fellow artists and contribute to a large-scale collaborative crochet project while you enjoy a coffee, beer, or snack from Steep Brew Cafe! This interactive art activity is presented by ArtSpan Artist Ramekon O'Arwisters... His Crochet Jams engage the public to think differently about the role of art within community and the power of art within society. Crochet Jam, a public, art-making event that's embracing and inclusive, with no attempt made to dictate the creative process nor judge the finished project, is liberating, empowering, transcending and FUN!

Join ArtSpan at Artillery Apparel Gallery for figure sketching in a creative environment.
We'll host figure modeling with a unique twist utilizing props from the store, music, and more!

Join ArtSpan for figure drawing at Huckleberry Bicycles! We'll take turns sketching one another doing short poses with bicycles and other props from within the store. Light snacks and beverages will be served, and ArtSpan will provide sketch books and drawing materials for those who need them.



ArtSpan Artist Mixer: Art Readings & Reactions
at Modern Eden Gallery: 801 Greenwich Street in San Francisco

Join ArtSpan and Quiet Lightning at Modern Eden Gallery for the fourth annual Art, Readings, & Reactions event! This Artist Mixer invites writers from from Quiet Lightning to view the artwork at Modern Eden and write from its inspiration. The writers then share their literary creations by reading to an audience equiped with sketch books to react with drawings. All are weclome to join! ArtSpan will provide sketch books and drawing materials.

Mix, Mingle and Make with ArtSpan using a bounty of supplies found at SCRAP re-Use center. ArtSpan assemblage artist, Dianne Hoffman, will offer techniques utilizing repurposed, salvaged objects to stir your creative process and expand your scope of usable materials in a fun, hands-on activity.
