My work is very process orientated and experimental. It explores themes of memory, impermanence, and the relationship between opposites such as order versus chaos, structure versus gesture, and line versus form. I create mixed media paintings and monotypes using acrylics, oils, pastels, inks, collage and various drawing items. I try to develop levels of meaning by building and/or removing layers of paint, ink, paper and other materials. Each piece has its own history, which is partially revealed through various layers. They become a personal language of animated marks. They are images and marks contained in layers of space and time. I welcome an opportunity to meet you privately at my studio. Please email me to set up an appointment at your convenience. Thank you!
