Isabel Limos creates soft, muted paintings that are reminiscent of memories. Though these memories may be hers to remember, she knows that the subjects and locations are not hers to keep. They are shared with countless people- each with a different story surrounding that particular work. It is through this collective familiarity that Isabel hopes to spark connection and meaning. An instant bond is formed through simply encountering the the same small aspect in a much larger story. She explores nostalgia and these anticipated connections through the subtle shifting of color and light in order to represent the elusive nature of a shared remembrance.
