I started my career path as a fashion designer. Drawing from live models is a must for me to depict and capture the sensuality of human forms. With influence tracing back to early twentieth century German Expressionism, my figurative work expresses inner feelings or ideas over replicating reality. They are in simplified shapes and gestural marks or brush strokes with bright colors, but in abstract human form. During the painting process, the original object evolves into forms of their own, reflecting the mood I was in. Therefore, the final phase of my work is rather unpredictable and full of surprise.
