With an animated sense of color, Daniel Phill's paintings suggest botanical, floral and landscape imagery. Phill's expressionist methods show an intuitive and painterly directness. Nature is reimagined, using abstraction and implications of space, resulting in paintings with a textured and radiant life.

Daniel Phill was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. He received his MFA from Stanford University and his BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. Phill's work has been featured in: Art in America; ARTnews; Art & Antiques; California Home+Design; House Beautiful; Los Angeles Times; New Yorker; New York Sun; Professional Artist Magazine; Wall Street International; and Who's Who in the West, among other publications.
