My oil paintings, drawings and prints chronicle my thirty-plus years in San Francisco where I selected subjects that were all around me, colorful streets, industrial views and interesting people from the City, and world travels, as well as a wide variety of still lifes. As an artist I have stayed true to my calling, and have been dedicated to realism.
While exploring various series of works over several years, my paintings reveal a consistent handling and individual style. In my approach, the dance of color and light expose a traditional, formal treatment of composition. At the same time formality is expressed quietly and uniquely in the casual elegance imbues in most of my oil paintings.
