I paint the landscape of San Francisco in acrylic with found paper elements. Not satisfied with views accorded the public, I often attend real estate open houses to capture what can be seen from the backs of homes for sale. I’m interested in the double intimacy of a backyard view: It's a vantage point you shouldn't have access to, and from which you might see something you shouldn't. The resulting compositions feature flattened buildings, stylized greenery, and enough windows to remind you to draw your blinds.
