As an artist, my practice questions perception, identity, and the interplay between them.
From a mixture of hypersensitivity, migraine aura, and synesthesia, I do not perceive the world as it is. I work to both capture these abnormalities to better understand the emotional and psychological impacts. For example, I embed objects into my camera’s body to replicate optical illusions I experience.
Disabled and queer, I am fascinated how internal and external identities reinforce and differ. To explore how æsthetics attribute to personas, I create characters and narratives .
I believe art belongs to everyone. I advocate for experimentation, a DIY mentality, and the democratization of knowledge. As such, I am documenting my processes and thoughts here.
