Painting was my first love.
I was born in Barcelona, Catalunya, in 1987. My first serious experience in crafts was in high school in 2003.
In 2005 I attended to collage at L’Escola d’Arts i Oficis Llotja, Barcelona. There, I created my first fashion line and I began my first internship as a digital pattern maker at Custo Barcelona. My next professional step in the industry was in the role of Lingerie and Loungewear Designer at Oysho S.A., at Inditex Group in Barcelona during two years.
Soon afterward, a personal vision steered me to a big decision to leave my country and move to San Francisco, with the idea to further my education, pursue my career and start an independent undergarments firm label, Marina Solé. I graduated from an MFA in Fashion Merchandising of Academy of Art University in 2016.
Over the period from 2016 to 2020 I dedicated my expertise working and growing in several fashion companies in San Francisco until this life gave me another assignment.
I felt randomly uninspired about the actual Fashion Industry with its lack of originality and substance.
I am currently building my portfolio and creating Mixed Media art from my studio to communicate and inspire. Working every day producing "art from the heart" is the best decision I have ever made!
I have never stopped wondering and working with my hands, painting, sewing and creating artworks with an artisanal romantic touch that identifies who I am. I am glad creativity called me again to start this "sole" journey.
