My paintings are about the beauty, the tranquility and the simplicity of our natural environment and of everyday objects. I follow l’art pour l’art or art for art’s sake. There is nothing moral or didactic about my work; there are no hidden meanings or conveyances of the religious or political; nor is there the desire to prod, antagonize, or push the envelope. My images have no explanation or reason to explain. Look at my images. Drink in the colors. Imagine the sway of my brush. Try to find a feeling or experience a memory. If you want to hold my flowers, walk in my landscapes, or bite my fruit then you understand my art.
