A San Francisco based artist and educator, Jennifer's metal work is founded on a love of process and an appreciation for good design. Curious about the intersection of structure, form, and surface texture, she takes inspiration from both the natural and industrial worlds. Working primarily in silver, copper and brass, Jennifer's work utilizes a vast library of miniature stamps to create textured designs of intricate repeating patterns, lending an ancient and exotic feel. Layers of vitreous enamel, over stamped and embossed metal or in distinct color patterns, invite deeper investigation into the forms. Jennifer often thinks of each piece as a relic covered with hieroglyphs, telling a story that the wearer has yet to discover, or perhaps, might even rewrite.
