EMMA LUNDGREN presents a new direction of Scandinavian inspired color and material combinations, that explore implications across a broad cultural context. Emma brings her material, color and craft knowledge to the forefront with physical and digital forms that combine the customary and the extraordinary to showcase a new generation of Nordic craft.

Emma’s characteristic signature; an expressive futuristic folk-inspired aesthetic is informed by her iconic Scandinavian heritage. The deeply held traditions of local craft, the uplifting dynamic colors of the Aurora Borealis, and the futuristic possibilities offered by the Esrange Space Center located in Lapland.

Emma is a graduate of the highly regarded Central St Martins and the prestigious Royal College of Art in London, covering Textile and Mixed Media Design. Her work has been widely exhibited in Stockholm, New York, London, Tokyo, Paris and San Francisco, gaining her international media attention and a Fellowship at the Royal Society of the Arts.

Emma also takes great joy in giving back to the young design community by lecturing and teaching at Nottingham Trent University, Central Saint Martins and Saandberg Instituut. This broad spectrum of experience has helped Emma develop a unique facility for working on industry projects, with an open-minded perspective that retains the initiative from pursuing personal work.
