Elena Zolotnitsky was born in Moscow in 1961. She graduated from VGIK (State University of Cinematography) in 1986 with the MA in Fine Art and Animation. Until 1989, when Elena left Russia, she worked as a creative director in animation production, a freelance illustration and poster design. She also began her career as a painter. For the last 20 years Elena Zolotnitsky was professionally recognized by major American Art Institutions like Communication Arts, American Society of Publication Design and Society of Illustrators. Her art appeared on the cover of New York Times Book Review and 7x7 San Francisco Magazine, Baltimore Magazine, Atlantan, Ritz - Carlton Magazine, Architectural Digest and numerous editorial publications in USA and Russia. Elena was granted Awards of Excellence and a title of the “Best in the Show” from Loyola, Nicolett and San Diego Art Colleges. And she was awarded quite a few residencies and fellowships here in America and in Europe for her achievements and artistic endeavors.
