My work explores the use, fragility, disposability, and repair of common objects. I am interested in how societies value domestic items essential to tasks like cooking and carrying. The role these “things” play ranges broadly from purely functional and expendable to highly decorative and prized. I draw formal and conceptual inspiration from items uncovered at archaeological digs, thrift stores, and junkyards – sites which quietly archive the life of objects and the people who use them. These "lost and founds” invite us to revive and reimagine a narrative for our own refuse.
