Painting for me is an expression both of soul and mind. I came from the Abstract Expressionism generation, and so always love abstract work. I wanted to explore more about the language of painting, going beyond my abstract painting beginnings, Now my work encompasses both the gestural freedom of abstract painting as well as exploring more formal elements to make a visually uplifting statement in my work.
