Jef Biesinger
When I enter a foreign place, I go into a hypnotic state,
as when I enter zazen (meditation).
Reducing the experience to its essence,
I document that vision with photo/video.
Also draw/write about the Mind-scape,
Diagraming the interacting forces.
Creating a spatial atmosphere,
Capturing the sensorial qualities that a space emits.
This experiential place deconstructs
light (amplify), Space (distort), & Time (compress).
The final interpretation is presenting these experiences
I have documented into a Memory Space,
an immersive chamber scaled to the body.
This environment generates imagination,
Allows the mind to explore its own subconscious.
An ambiguous and abstract environment that is
not attached to place or history,
a Non-place.
