I learned the craft, and hopefully the art, of photography by emulating Ansel Adams' photographs of the natural scene. Gradually over the years, in large part due to the works of Paul Strand, Edward Weston, Alfred Stieglitz and Henri Cartier-Bresson, I have become aware of the inherent, if not always obvious, beauty in man-made objects and scenes. In short, I photograph anything that I think will make a beautiful image.
