Felicite Tchaco
Hello, my name is Felicite Tchaco, I was born and raised in Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast, West Africa). I have been painting as a raw girl. Growing up, I never thought that painting was something I would want to pursue, because it is dirty and stinky.
I was more drown to modeling and singing. As some people may not know, doing a cat walk on a "T" is not like where you can show up with a bunch of painting and brush strokes splashed on your cloth or face; therefore, I stop painting and got into modeling and singing instead.
My dad had always encouraged me in doing painting and didn't want me to sing, but I was more interested in music and that is what I went for.
Today I must confess, one cannot deny or reject a gift from God. Art follows me everywhere I go and that is the reason why I decided to embrace it in full, along side my music. I do my artwork and incorporate it in the cover design of my CD's.
I also depict the title of my songs in a drawing or a painting. Art is part of my whole being I cannot live without it. When I was not painting anymore, I always felt like something was missing and that, I at least own it to the spirit who have given me this gift.
Most of my work are done on a canvas using oil colors. I also do illustration with charcoal, pincil and pastel as needed. From time to time, I also use wood and other materials such as textile, bids and organic ornaments to embellish the finished work. You could say that my style is contemporary, but I reproduce whatever inspiration comes to my mind. In my paintings, you will find still life, portraits, abstracts, landscape, surrealism, and entice arts. My collections can be used for home decoration, restaurants, restrooms, show rooms, galleries and for personal satisfaction.
