Artist Statement

These recent intaglio collages are assembled from fragments of original etchings and engravings. The pieces take unique, surprising forms and are imbued with unusual textural details.  Their multiple levels of figurative and elemental detail invite closer inspection and recognition that art-making is a journey, an exploration, a life-long experiment in trusting one's creativity.
