Artist Statement

 I work with modeling synthetic clays to explore new  creative possibilities . The technic is a combination of collage and low-relief .

 In the past 7 years  I have been working with this plastic base dough to create pieces in small format, the tactile and pictorial qualities are similar to those found in oils, watercolor or encaustic. 

I search a recurrent theme, Industrial landscapes, suggested figures, invented zoomorphic elements and intricate structures as artificial entities against fragile and  remote scenarios. These miniatures guide the audience to  stop and contemplate. 

I explore through this topics  tensions  like body and soul,  past and present experience,  totality and fragmentation, ancient traditions and technological advances, universal concerns that has afflicts us all throughout time.
